Current Updates for October

Tropical storm Rachel is expected to bring rain to our mountain communities, and most of Southern California, starting Saturday night through Tuesday. Be ready for possible flooding, rocks on the highway and mudslides. This is the first multi day rainfall expected after a long hot dry summer. Snow levels are expected to remain above 9,000 elevation but will drop around 7,000 as the storm settles in.

For the most up to date information check in with watchduty.org or download the app, also socalmountains.com and bensweather.com

Always be prepared with extra food, water and any medications needed, as we all know there is a possibility of the highway not being accessible.
